busy little bees

Hiya everyone!

How is everything back home? Warming up nicely in preparation for a perfect summer I hope.

With only weeks left, I'm determined to pack as much as possible into my time here, if I haven't already been doing that.

We've had a couple of good parties, for Bindle's 30th and David's 40th. I took Lyndon to see Xavier Rudd at The Shepherd's Bush Empire with my good friend Mel. Then, last weekend Lyndon took me to Oslo, Norway to find some vikings, or at least the Musuem. I wish we had more time to leave the city and explore the Fiords & countryside, but Scandinavia really deserves more than just a week or two, or, a weekend for that matter.

Tomorrow night we're seeing Zero 7 play at the Brixton Academy with Dan, then Sunday we're getting a few friends together to say farewell to Lyndon before he heads home on Monday.

Still not sure of an exact date for my return home, but it's definitely in time for Christmas.

See you very soon.

P.S. Don't worry, I'm not coming home with a geezer accent either.
P.P.S. The real reason for my return is cause I can't get a good Beam and coke anywhere...

Expect the unexpected

Hello everyone!

Mum and I had brilliant trip around Europe for nearly 3 weeks, although I forgot how exhausting traveling and sight seeing are! Seriously, I'm SO over big buildings and cathedrals right now, give me coastlines and landscapes anyday. I won't go into all the details now, but totally loved Barcelona, and Paris really is so romantic and beautiful, more so than I remembered.

The unexpected and very exciting news is that I'm coming home in December for good, that's right, in two months time! Lordy lordy, I can not wait! Basically, an opportunity came up at Cowan Sydney and the business is just as happy for me to be there, so I couldn't resist. I'm not loving London life, although I've been having loads of fun, it's just not working for me on lots of levels. Anyway, I haven't got a date for my return yet, still waiting to confirm things over the next week. Very excited to be coming home for Summer, loving my timing. Can't wait for lots of barbies and beach with you all.

Lyndon is here for another few weeks helping me organise my life - again, so we've got a busy schedule getting out and about doing all the stuff we want to before heading home. Last weekend we went away to Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace, a very pretty english town), we've been to the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, last night we went to see the Shaolin Kung-Fu Monks, and there are concerts planned and another weekend away hopefully.

I hope you're all doing well, there's certainly been plenty of baby and engagement news from OZ of late. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon and meeting the new additions.

Love, Carly. xxx
